Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I am so excited for it to be St. Patrick’s Day! It’s such a fun-filled positive day to be taken with a smile on your face as you share it with those you love. I am sometimes surprised at how many people do not know who he is, or at least no more than he was a catholic saint from long ago. When I first really learned about him I was living in Ireland at the time. Ireland is such a beautiful country! I sometimes dream about what I saw there in happy dreams. I have often wondered if heaven it’s self could be more beautiful. When I lived in Galway for a short time, I loved the fresh air off the ocean, the green fields filled with stone and grass that sparkled in the sunlight. I loved walking through the hills and other places that make me feel so at peace, yet so alive at the same time. The people I met were amazing. They often told me that my culture “lives for work” and not “work to live.” After a while, I saw their point and believe they are right. The rat race and money-greed has exploded lately and stress seems to be at an all-time high. Maybe that’s why I love St. Patrick’s Day so much! It reminds me of all the happy things I have and how lucky I am to have them. That leaves me with this Old Irish Blessing:

“May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light. May good luck pursue you each morning and night.”

I leave that with everyone hoping we all have a wonderful, happy, and safe, St. Patrick’s Day!!
