This past week I was talking to a good friend about old classic movies. Of course for many, the first old classic film can be considered Gone with the Wind. That was the first one that came to my mind if I’m honest. I have noticed however, people either love that movie, or they hate that movie. Either way, I brought up that one because it’s a classic that tells a great epic and emotional story. Suddenly, I was asked if I have ever read that book. As I stopped to think about it, not only have I not read that book, but I realized I had not read a book in a little over 8 years!
For those of you who know me, this is quite awful! I use to love to read and I collect many books. I can’t pass a book store without going in, but I haven’t actually read one in years! How messed up is that? I guess over the last several years, my life has either been to busy or stressful to read. I never could read when I was stressed out about something or someone else. Well now I figured there was no good time like the present, and it was time to begin reading again. Another friend I was talking to about it told me what an amazing read that book is and offered to lend it to me. So that is my challenge to myself this week. I am going to read the old classic Gone with the Wind written by Margaret Mitchell. I can’t wait to get started and fall head-over-heels in love with a book again!
I have read more books than you in the past few years and that’s so sad. I mean, they are autobiographies of the girls on Teen Mom but they still count 🙂 enjoy!
